Building the Hepworth Wakefield

The Hepworth Wakefield is Yorkshires major new art gallery. Designed by award-winning British architect, David Chipperfield, The Hepworth Wakefield will show for the first time a unique collection of sculptures by Barbara Hepworth one of the most important sculptors of the 20th Century, who was born and raised in Wakefield. Its bold, modern architecture will be a fitting home for an outstanding collection of British art, featuring work by some of the UKs best-known artists .As one of the largest and finest galleries outside of London, will open in 2011.The longest project I have undertaken and in 2008 was given permission to take photos on the Hepworth site.
