Street shots with Magnum photographer Bruce Gilden

I'm amazed he doesn't get into any confrontations! I haven't seen any of Bruce's work except that shown in the video but because of the way he approaches people they, in general, are looking directly at the camera in the photographs and therefore their behaviour and expression has been affected by the photographer. I prefer street photography photos were the people in them are unaware that their photo has been taken and so the photographer has not influenced events.

I agree with the two comments before me. I personally wouldn't do my photography like Bruce - it is too confrontational and not very respectful imho. I wouldn't like it done to me, so I wouldn't do it to others. But good luck to him.
