This video is simply an exercise in spitting numbers, for the most part unsupported by graphic. The rate of delivery is far too fast for a novice to absorb. | 01/02/2012 - 23:35 |

It's odd how like a young Gerard Ronson the bloke in the grey suit looks. | 19/11/2011 - 16:52 |

Yes you're right RLF. Each variation was done by playing with levels or curves; often with a curve that went up, down, up again, was even more squiggly, or was done with the pen - i.e. discontinuous. That's how the background can be both black and white from the same source photo. A few of the variations are combinations of adjusted layers using different blend modes. Then converted to B&W and similar techniques. Hope this explains it a bit. | 16/11/2011 - 19:59 |

Would have been nice to see some indication of how each effect was achieved. Short bit of text at bottom maybe! | 08/11/2011 - 17:26 |

I sympathize with both parties. We live in dangerous times. I would like the security people to take photos & videos of those they suspect. Yes we do have a right to take pictures of buildings BUT I'm not at all sure I'd be happy of having my photo taken by a complete stranger. | 08/11/2011 - 17:22 |

Great tutorial, but I was not clear, if you diluted the glycerine or if you used it pure. The stuff is quite expensive in the UK | 01/10/2011 - 19:11 |

Although the previous comment might reflect the feelings of a more experienced photographer he must remember that there are a lot of people new to photography who learn from this type of video. Keep up the good work Gavin. | 17/09/2011 - 08:26 |
